Sabina has also exhibited in-group shows in such states as New York, Missouri, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Los Angeles.
A passionate and provocative artist, Sabina is known for her vibrant paintings of imagined botanical scenes, portraits, and still-lifes. She consistently demonstrates her talent as a professional artist with each piece she paints. The artist’s skill with the brush has been noted in art books such as “Best of Watercolor”, “Best of Portrait Painting”, among others. She also received recognition of her talent, winning an award in 1994 for a add she created submitted to the Citgo Petroleum Company’s National advertising campaign, a add that was published in TIME, LIFE, and PEOPLE magazine. Sabina’s career was further catalyzed in the past few years with a Signature Membership with the National Watercolor Society located in Los Angeles.
Sabina achieved one of the highest honors available specifically to watercolor artists, becoming an official member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS). The AWS began in 1866 in New York. In order to belong to this exclusive group of creative individuals, the artist must prove his or her talent through a series of no less than three successful entries of a select watercolor piece. Sabina’s three submissions have proven her tremendous ability with her medium, as she is now an official member of this long-time highly regarded echelon of painters. As a Signature Member, Sabina now uses the AWS initials following her artist’s signature, signifying to art professionals and collectors of her elevated status and significance as a watercolor artist.
