Sarah was raised in the Oklahoma countryside, inspired by her parents’ love of animals and nature. At the age of four she took up her mother’s passion and began riding horses. Her father, also a talented artist, raised chickens and bees while still finding time to tend to a huge garden. When she wasn’t outside, she was drawing and painting. In 1995 she received her B.F.A from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A few years later she moved to the central European country of Luxembourg for three years and immersed herself in the local art scene. She took the opportunity to visit museums and galleries. While living there she became a member of an atelier and had several exhibitions. After moving back to the United States she continued to work hard producing oil paintings, and even went back to Luxembourg in 2003 to have an exhibition. In 2006 she became a Master Signature Artist of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society. Then in 2012 she was accepted into Oil Painters of America. Recently she took a workshop by renowned artist, Daniel Sprick. Her work is in private collections throughout the U.S. and in the Chongqing Municipal Museum in Chongqing China. She has won numerous awards for her talent and skill in oil painting.
